Company Overview
Hospice of the Piedmont provides patients with compassionate pain control and symptom management, often in the comfort of their homes. We also care for patients in hospitals, assisted living facilities, continuous care retirement communities, and nursing homes. But, we also do something unique: We share the journey with families as well, ensuring that those who are grieving - adults, teens, and children - have a safe and supportive place to mourn in our high-quality, long-term grief support groups, classes, camps and events. These services are available at no cost to everyone in the community.
Company History
Hospice of the Piedmont is a not-for-profit agency, which provides a variety of hospice services, headquartered in Albemarle County and serves the surrounding communities. Hospice of the Piedmont (founded in 1980) and Hospice of the Rapidan (founded in 1983) merged in 2014 to become the larges not-for-profit hospice in Central Virginia.
